Gadong wet market resumed operations on Thursday in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP) for vendors and visitors.
Members of the public visiting the market must comply with the Ministry of Health’s (MoH) SOPs, including limiting the number of visitors entering the premises, undergoing temperature checks, scanning the QR code upon entry and exit, and wearing a face mask at all times.
The market’s operation times are 6am to 3pm from Monday to Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, and 6am to noon and 2pm to 3pm on Friday.
The building underwent deep cleaning and disinfection prior to the opening.
Vendors, assistants and officials under the Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Department working at the premises are required to carry outswab tests.
Currently, vendors and assistants are required to have at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
There are also separate entrances and exits for visitors, traders and suppliers.
Antigen rapid test (ART) kits will be provided to vendors and their assistants to be conducted once a week. Each stall is also limited to two vendors as part of the SOP.
