A majority of isolation orders have been complied with, said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at the daily press conference on Monday.
The minister expressed gratitude for the cooperation given by those tested positive for COVID-19 and those undergoing quarantine orders, adding that it supports the government’s efforts in controlling the outbreak.
He said, “The majority of the cases complied with the instruction to be isolated at designated isolation centres as well as their homes.”
Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham also reminded individuals in isolation centres to comply with all instructions and regulations including the isolation procedures, as well as to respect rules related to the arrangement and use of government property – including furniture – provided at the centres.
He said, “These rules are put in place to ensure that monitoring and treatment operations can be carried out properly, as well as to ensure the comfort and privacy of patients while in isolation.
“Meanwhile, for those who are allowed to undergo isolation at home, your cooperation is equally requested to respect staff who deliver food to your homes.”
